My Story
As a Strategic Living Coach, I help self-directed individuals live strategically in line with their God-given life purpose so they can have a positive impact on their world. I create engaging conversation with deep connection that provides opportunity for fresh insight and personal growth.
Most of my adult life has been centered in vocational ministry, which uniquely qualifies me to coach others in their life journey. Following my undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education from Houghton College, I received my Masters of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
Over the years, I have done extensive study in leadership, productivity, self-help, and human motivation. I am an ASSOCIATE CERTIFIED COACH (ACC) with International Coach Federation (ICF), a CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL LIFE COACH (CPLC) with Professional Christian Coaching Institute, a STRENGTHS CHAMPION CERTIFIED COACH and an ASSEMBLIES OF GOD LEVEL 3 COACH (AG3). I’m also a member of the Christian Coach Network International.
Since 1999, my reach has expanded beyond North America and into the former Soviet Union, the Baltics, Africa, and India. I have served as Adjunct Professor in several overseas colleges and seminaries and have been a featured presenter for Global Leadership Training conferences. Working with both positioned and emerging leaders in these countries has given me a unique perspective on the application of life and leadership principles in a variety of social and cultural contexts.
My wife, Julie, and I have been married for over 47 years. We have four married children and eight grandchildren. We live in the beautiful hills of Litchfield County, Connecticut. I like strong coffee, but not after 6:00 PM!

I love to travel and have had the privilege of meeting people from various cultures, beliefs, and backgrounds. I believe in being open to hearing, understanding, and accepting others no matter how different from me. I bring that openness to coaching.
Courage
To “put ourselves out there” and show up authentically takes courage. As your coach, I will bring my full self to the process. I will not be shy in asking the hard questions, but always with empathy and care for you.
Freedom
Life is a journey. It is a journey where we have the freedom to choose our path. Those choices have brought us to where we are today. Coaching will provide you with the tools to make more informed decisions as you move forward into your God-given destiny.

REFOCUS
My coaching brings this and more. It is an intentional relationship that happens within a safe space where you can refocus on your primary values, discover your unique strengths, and clarify your life purpose.
RECALIBRATE
You will recalibrate the direction of your life through what has been called “a facilitated monologue”. It is a process where you safely explore and design the next steps necessary to help you live out your life purpose and reach your goals. I will be with you the whole way managing the process.
RENEW
You will experience a renewed clarity and commitment to make your life count!
As your coach, I consider all that you share as privileged information (except in cases where it involves criminal activity, will affect the safety of others or disclosure is mandated by law).
In other words, coaching with me is a good investment. You will find greater effectiveness and fulfillment in your life.
